Tight Fit @ The Dunes

Now all the chubbers among us (I feel your pain at not fitting into the anorexic ideal of today!) have yet another incentive to shed a few pounds by, er, March 28 - that's when an art show called "Tight Fit" closes at THE DUNES.

This show was highlighted today on NPR's 'Art Beat' With Sean Rameswaram as a great way to seek out "some adventure in smaller spaces."

It involves eight District-based artists squeezing their works into The Dunes gallery space. The focus here is on small-scale paintings as a reflection of urban life that Rameswaram suggests "wouldn't look out of place on the walls of a studio apartment."

This exhibition runs through March 28, 2012, with a closing reception on March 27 from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.

The Dunes is located at 1402 Meridian Place NW, at the heart of Washington's urban-hipster-infused Columbia Heights neighborhood.
